The Legal Bit

PLEASE NOTE: Equine Sports Massage Therapy is not a substitute for veterinary attention. Where required, massage sessions will be carried out in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (and the 2015 Exemptions Order) which provides that veterinary consent must be obtained (for 'treatments' not classed as "maintenance treatments") before working on any animal.  If your horse / pony is receiving treatment from a veterinary surgeon, or the massage is required for anything other than "maintenance" purposes, I will need to obtain veterinary consent before proceeding to provide massage therapy to your horse / pony.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: An Equine Sports Massage Therapist is unable to diagnose any problems your horse may have. If your horse/pony does not improve, a veterinary surgeon should be consulted. Equine Sports Massage Therapy is not a replacement for veterinary care but is used alongside conventional health care.
